Mechanical Modular Decentralized Control of Reconfigurable Redundant Systems The demand for automation has seen a growing need for robotic devices with more sophisticated control mechanisms. The School of Mechanical Engineering at UNSW has developed a manipulator (a sub-class of robotic devices) which is able to adapt to its surroundings, avoid obstacles and achieve stable motion through an unmapped environment with a known target. NSi seeks interested end-users of this technology and/or funds to develop a complete proof of concept prototype.
