2008-07-23 Eureka! Serendipity responsible for new cancer treatment To commercialise Professor Hogg’s new cancer treatment, NSi spun out a wholly owned subsidiary called Cystemix Pty Ltd. Cystemix was formed to make the most of a suite of sub-cellular poisons which have potential as anti-cancer drugs, chief of which is the compound GSAO discovered by Professor Hogg. NSi has to date committed over $1 million to Cystemix. This fund has been used to develop a strong patent portfolio and to enable the numerous drug formulation, manufacturing and pre-clinical studies necessary to enter human trials.
