The Vice-Chancellor has approved a new Intellectual Property (IP) Policy and associated Guidelines and Procedures. A number of key issues have been addressed and resultant key changes as part of the review of the IP Policy including (i) Consistency with other Go8 Policies (ii) ownership of Student IP (iii) Separate Policy, Guidelines and Procedures; (iv) mechanisms to handle Pre-Existing IP; (v) new Guidelines for Copyright; (vi) new guidelines on the Disbursement of Net Revenue to Creators (vii) Clearly defines the Role and Responsibilities of NSi; (viii) new procedure for Disclosing and Exploiting IP; (ix) New Procedures on the Assignment of IP.
